Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical OncologyInova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Oncology department. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients with various types of cancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and excellent communication skills. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in oncology nursing.Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association (AHA)
