• Employment Type: StaffAs an Interventional Radiology Technician 1, you will safely and competently operate all radiographic, processing and inventory equipment in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR). To help achieve our mission, you will act as a Liaison between physician, family and other interdepartmental units. Your ability to collaborate with team members to collect data pre/post-procedure while preparing patients for procedures in CVIR is of vital importance. Participating with team members in unit assignment quality assurance projects is expected. Providing high quality imaging using various modalities for endovascular angiography examinations is required.Job Responsibilities- Assists radiation safety by maintaining safe practices.- Assists team and customers with prompt room turnover.- Recognizes adverse clinical situations and helps other personnel to do so.- Accurately implements computer orders for all Interventional Radiology functions.- Extends additional support as required to patients, family members and other staff.- Supports departmental cost savings strategies by assisting in efficient patient care.- Anticipates procedure flow and works with other team members to produce the highest quality care.- Demonstrates proper technique for injection of IV contrast, or other test enhancing solution, under the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines.Additional Requirements- Work schedule: Monday - Friday, every other weekend- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; ARRT registry eligible.
