• Employment Type: PermanentUnder general direction of the department manager , according to departmental and hospital standards, theRespiratory Care Practitioner, referred to as RCP-II, is responsible for administering all levels of Respiratory Care totreat patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction and/or disabilities. RCP-II will function to the level that is usual andcustomary for Acute Care, ER, and Critical Care (either PICU or NICU) competency and orientation. The RCP-II willmaintain all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and appropriate care to all ages of patients includingneonates, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults. Associate's degree is required- completion of a minimum two years of college training in an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program. Registered Respiratory Therapist Licesne is required. RCP License from District of Columbia DOH Health Regulation and Licensing Administration is required. 3 years experience working in respiratory care is required and 1 year working in critical care environment is required.Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.Childrens National Job ID .
