We are located in Alexandria, VA at the Inova HealthPlex, We are seeking an experienced Surgical Tech with a strong orthopedic background to scrub under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. As a member of our surgical team, you will prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures, recognize safety hazards and initiate appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures, and perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Work Hours:Monday-Friday, day shift only no nights, weekends, call, or holidayReporting time generally 0700 or 0730, hours will flex according to unit's needs Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an appropriate technician programor previous technician experience of at least two years. Certification preferred. Licensure/certification/registration: Current surgical tech certification or experience required. BLS required.
