If this is you, we encourage you to apply so you can get your journey started with MyEyeDr. where you can help people see, look, and be their very best.POSITION SUMMARY The Managed Vision Care Administrator is responsible for facilitating the efficient and accurate submission of insurance claims to various vendors, to ensure that the organization's receivables accounts are credited in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process patient insurance claims efficiently and in a timely manner. Obtain missing or invalid claim data from field offices. Provide customer service support to MED office staff and patients to help address billing inquiries and other routine matters. Investigate and resubmit denied/returned claims and partial payments. Escalate data processing and/or customer service needs to Claims Supervisor and/or Assistant Director of Managed Care, as necessary. Assist with patient billing and posting. Other duties, as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS High School degree/GED required. AA or BA/BS in related field is desirable. 1-3 years general administrative work experience is required Previous experience with claims processing and/or data entry is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong computer software and data input skills, with high speed and accuracy Strong analytical and math skills (must be comfortable working with calculators and computing numbers) Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of attention to details. Demonstrated success working within an office environment addressing a broad spectrum of internal customer requirements and requests Demonstrated ability to establish positive rapport and build collegial relationships within various departments of the organization to maximize the efficient flow of information. Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the proven ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure deadlines are met. Proficiency in utilization of automated equipment and systems standard to the optometry industry.PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office.WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is performed in a traditional office environment.Other details Pay Type Hourly
