    Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager or Director of Operations, As the Program Manager you will be responsible for overall management of the Program, to include managing all Johnson Controls personnel and assisting the customer in developing remediation standards, processes, procedures, customer specific installation and service technician checklists, and a security system training outline for customer end users. You will also ensures the quality and completion of all required deliverables.

    Johnson Controls' Program Manager provides leadership across all program service/maintenance and installation tasks, ensuring that overall scheduling conforms to customer schedules and the program service level agreement (SLA's), while also developing and refining collaborative implementation strategies.

    As the Program Manager you will direct the activities of the supporting staff, which consists of the Project Manager, Service Manager, Application Engineer.

    This program consists of multiple projects to survey, locate, design, install, test, and integrate complex residential systems. These residences and systems may be located at numerous sites throughout the customers regions and operation centers. The work efforts expended on are to bring them to a point where they are ready for full acceptance.

    How you will do it

    Responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all program activities, including technical performance and financial profitability under the terms and conditions of the government contractual specifications and requirements to ensure optimum profit and customer satisfaction.

    Program Manager will ensure Senior Program Manager and Leadership receive information and reports on metrics and deliverables and any potential issues.

    Must advise efforts to ensure contractualand corporate compliance of work performed.

    Attends and facilitates weekly project review meetings with the customer, end users or staff to provide detailed updates on all residences in an active service, installation, or other security status

    Reviews and approves each project plan prior to submittal

    Providing leadership to train and direct multi-disciplined technical and administrative personnel (including subcontractors) to resolve engineering, administrative and field issues occurring during project implementation and installation.

    Possess corporate operational authority to make financial and operational decisions without the consultation of others.

    Coach and mentor technical and project team members on effective project management practices and techniques.

    Leads work teams in a continuous improvement environment with quality tools, behaviors and practices.

    Negotiating with customers to acquire additional business, identifying and pursuing new opportunities for contract revenue growth. With senior leadership, leads/advises efforts for program growth or new opportunities.

    Provides a single point of contact for billing to the customer; quotes for installation task orders and/or change orders; tracking status of service/maintenance and installation projects and inventory; ensuring the overall program is operated within budget

    Posts all program deliverables to the customer-provided SharePoint site

    Prepares and submits daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the customers COR, and provides periodic status updates and briefings to the team

    Provides high-level coordination with customers security operations team for purposes of alarm system installation, programming, service, maintenance, and testing

    Proven leadership capabilities with progressive management experience in physical and large integrated security projects either working for the government or for a large corporation doing business with the Federal government.

    Strong demonstrated ability in leading security programs, budgets and requirements within the Federal sector.

    Demonstrated problem solving ability.

    Ability to interact effectively and be a great teammate at all levels of the JCSS and customer organization.

    Ability to prioritize multiple subject areas.

    Risk management/decision making skills.

    Ability to effectively manage and empower team members.

    Ability to budget, perform financial analysis, prepare reports with focus on meeting financial targets.

    Excellent presentation skills, oral and written communication skills.

    What we look for

    Required

    Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Business, or Project Management preferred
    • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred. Will be required within 1 year of onboarding Experience:
      • Ten (10) years general experience in the physical and technical security fields with at least five (5) years of specialized experience required in the direct supervision and management of nationwide service contracts and large complex integrated projects within the physical/technical security field for the Federal government.
      • Preferred experience includes management of projects that included design, installation, testing, servicing, and integration of complex systems and subsystems.
      • Solid understanding of Federal government contracting regulatory and compliance topics. Skills
        • Be fluent in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Project, Word & Visio)
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrated judgment skills
        • Excellent customer service skills both internal and external)
        • Ability to organize and prioritize work and resources for effective implementation
        • Must be a self-motivated and organized individual
        • Excellent PC skills (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)
        • Demonstrated problem solving and ability to independently carry out responsibilities under general supervision
        • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the Johnson Controls and customer organization
        • Ability to function as an effective team leader and team member
        • Maintain a positive working environment
        • Travel may be required in support of program.
