Job Description:

been extended.Job Details:As a Director of Government Relations,
you will be a key advocate for Tyson's federal legislative
priorities and a trusted resource for external government
stakeholders. You will work alongside internal business partners to
identify opportunities and determine priorities for legislative
action, develop successful strategies to achieve these priorities,
and execute the agreed upon strategies to help influence the
direction of policy important to the company. In doing so, you will
also work with external stakeholders including but not limited to
the Administration, Members of Congress and their staffs, trade
associations, think tanks, and corporate Washington offices. This
position is crucial for creating and communicating an integrated
government relations strategy to promote Tyson Foods' business
success and growth.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will drive strategy on critical issues and proactively
identify opportunities and challenges to the company.
- You will build and maintain relationships with key Members of
Congress and staff to help grow the company's outreach in specific
constituencies and create new interest among others.
- You will attend hearings, coordinate meetings with key
lawmakers, and participate in briefings, trade association
meetings, and coalition meetings on issues critical to the
financial and operational success of the business.
- You will partner with NGOs and trade associations to further
educate legislators and their staffs on issues of importance to
Tyson Foods.
- You will provide written and verbal updates and relevant
reports on assigned issue areas.
- You will work with internal subject-matter experts and
stakeholders to best represent the needs of Tyson Foods.
- You will help coordinate fundraising events sponsored or hosted
by TYPAC and additional fundraising events as well as help to grow
our PAC.REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in public policy,
communications or business; professional degree preferred but not
required.
- Experience: 10 plus years lobbying or federal legislative
experience and advanced communications skills.
- Background/expertise in agriculture and food policy, tax,
trade, environment, or transportation is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; ability to work in
Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills; excellent public speaking skills; ability to
communicate with all levels of Team Members including senior
executives.
- Special Skills: Extensive knowledge of the legislative process
and campaigns and elections. Keen political acumen and sound
political judgment. Ability to identify and mitigate challenges to
the company. Ability to initiate and proactively identify
opportunities to better position Tyson Foods in Washington and with
critical internal and external constituencies.
- Direct experience reading and analyzing legislative text and
ability to provide substantive alternatives to legislative
proposals is required.

Range/Rate:$123,000.00 - $254,000.00Incentives:Annual Incentive

the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for
this position based on various factors such as shift differentials,
standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or
bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson's total compensation
