Our client is currently seeking a Asst. Maintenance Manager to join our food manufacturing facility located in Alexandria, VA. As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate the maintenance operations to ensure the smooth functioning of our facility and equipment. Your role will involve supervising a team of maintenance technicians, managing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills to contribute to the success of our food manufacturing operations.Responsibilities:Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning and coordinating maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades of machinery and equipment.Oversee a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high productivity and performance.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.Conduct regular inspections of machinery, identify potential issues, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.Maintain accurate maintenance records, including equipment histories, repair and maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance management, and make recommendations for improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience in maintenance management within a food manufacturing or similar industry.Strong technical knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of maintenance technicians.Proficient in implementing preventive maintenance programs and utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
