Job Description:
Summary: -The National Art Education Association (NAEA) is
seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and multi-skilled
individual to serve as our Finance and Board Manager. The ideal
candidate has experience in handling a range of accounting and
financial tasks in an association/nonprofit or related environment.
Additionally, the Finance and Board Manager will work under the
direction of the NAEA Leadership Team to support the work of the
Board of Directors and other association leaders, to help ensure
smooth communication, meeting logistics, documentation support,
governance, and a range of open calls. - -Key Responsibilities: -
-Finance-related Duties: -
Invoice Processing: Assist in
receiving, processing, and recording invoices and payments.
-Expense Management: Reconcile receipts, track organization
expenses, and generate reports. -Payroll Assistance: Assist in the
payroll process by collecting timesheets, calculating hours, and
issuing checks. -Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank
statements to ensure accurate financial reporting. -Budget
Tracking: Work closely with the finance team to track and update
the organization's budget. -Financial Reports: Assist in generating
monthly and annual financial reports, as directed. - -Board-related
Duties: -
Communication: Support the Executive
Director in all communications between the board of directors and
staff. -Meeting Coordination: Organize, schedule, and prepare
materials for board meetings and committee meetings.
-Documentation: Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes,
agendas, and other documents as required. -Policy Maintenance: Keep
board policies and documents up-to-date and easily accessible.
-Compliance: Assist the board in following proper governance
procedures, compliance issues, and documentation requirements.
-Board Orientation: Facilitate orientation for new board members
and offer ongoing support. -Calls, Awards, Nominations: Lead the
planning and execution of association's calls, awards, and
nominations to ensure timely, equitable, and informed processes. -
-Performs other duties as assigned. - -Qualifications: -
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. -At least 2-3
years of experience working in a similar role, ideally in a
nonprofit setting. -Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and
accounting software like QuickBooks. -Strong attention to detail,
multitasking skills, and organizational capabilities. -CAE
