Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Senior Project Manager to support our
Federal Government customer in Alexandria, VA. The Lead Senior
Project Manager is a member of the Program Management Office (PMO)
who will lead the PMO contractor team and will work closely with
stakeholders and colleagues across the organization to deliver
technology projects, programs, and business value to PMO customers.
The role will play an integral part in ensuring technology projects
are running on time, within budget, at minimum risk, and aligned to
fulfill strategic goals. Just as importantly, the Lead Senior
Project Manager will work to set goals, foster collaboration,
motivate project teams, and assist with applicable change
management to facilitate successful "Go-Live" activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the PMO team by setting goals, motivating team members,
and fostering inter-team and cross-team collaboration.
- Establish and maintain the role of a trusted liaison by
building relationships with government and contractor personnel to
ensure effective coordination of all program and project
efforts.
- Access, interpret and apply Government and industry standards
and specifications.
- Manage technical projects through the SDLC process using
traditional, iterative, and agile, methods.
- Integrate and/or develop master schedule, scope, costs, and
resource baseline(s).
- Manage resources, level of effort, project cost, risks, and
milestones against a project plan, a release plan and/or across
multiple projects and value streams (e.g., integrated project
management).
- Establish and contribute to risk register, risk management
plan, and issue log, including, providing analysis, mitigation, and
escalation recommendations.
- Conduct periodic detailed reviews of the individual project
plans and continuously provide team feedback loops for schedule
refinement, risk mitigation, and resource management.
- Effectively lead project teams to drive successful high-quality
project delivery outcomes and business value in alignment with the
customer's strategic direction.
- Ensuring project documentation are complete, current, and
stored appropriately.
- Ensure PMO documentation complies with established standards,
policies and procedures, and best practices.
- Gather and independently analyze program and project management
data.
- Develop and report portfolio and program health status.
- Presents analysis findings to the appropriate stakeholders,
verbally and through the preparation of presentations, reports, or
the use of dashboards.

- 10+ years of experience leading projects.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing Agile Scrum methodologies for
Agile delivery of business systems and applications.
- Expert with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite along with a strong
knowledge of ServiceNow (SN) Platform and the Project Portfolio
Module(s) (PPM), MS Teams, and MS SharePoint.
- Possess overall technical acumen to integrate new
technologies.
- Possess knowledge modern software development technologies,
data management, infrastructure, network security, and other
disciplines.
- Experience working with quality management principles,
approached, and techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Scrum and other Agile frameworks (Scrum,
SAFe) and Cloud Migration best practices, as well as traditional
project management approaches.
- Experience with Agile and traditional project scheduling and
tracking processes.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with ability
to proactively build rapport among stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience leading projects.
