sector.ABOUT THE POSITIONIMSolutions is seeking multiple qualified
Grants Management Specialists (GMS II) to support our Federal
Government client in Herndon, Virginia (positions are 100% remote).
Provision of highly qualified Acquisition Support resources to
perform acquisition support services, to include contract
pre-award, administration, and post-award; acquisition policy
development, analysis, and advisement; all phases of the grants
management process; financial management support services, to
include price analysis and invoicing; and subject matter expertise
in the areas of acquisitions, policy, and/or identified technical
acquisition areas.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:A minimum of six years of
experience in direct federal grants management is required to aid
and assist in all phases of the grants management process.
Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, rules, policies,
procedures, and methods governing the administration of federal
grants, cooperative agreements, and awards; grants/assistance
management processes and techniques consistent with sound business
and industry practices; and financial methods, procedures, and
practices to assess the financial stability of recipient of federal
grants or cooperative agreements. Experience should demonstrate the
ability to perform typical duties, under close supervision and in
accordance with instructions and pre-established guidelines.
Assists in solving complex contract/grant accounting and financial
problems. Ability to research, compile statistics and present data
to authorized government personnel, as required. Assist in writing
narratives for grant proposals, reviewing grant letters, prepare
Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and creates, monitors and
maintains audit files for program compliance. Supports price
analysis and negotiation and the appropriate use of funds.
Participates in negotiations concerning complex grant awards;
provide financial assistance and guidance on grants and cooperative
agreements; review grant applications for compliance with
appropriate regulations; and prepare grant and cooperative
agreement awards and amendments for authorized government
personnel's signature in compliance with appropriate regulations.
Documents, records, and administers related performance in
accordance with the regulations and requirements. Relies on
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, execute first
line responsibilities for projects or functions, and perform a
variety of complex tasks with a substantial degree of creativity
and latitude under general supervision. Demonstrated experience
performing administrative business, policy, and analytical work is
required. Strong oral and written communication skills and customer
service skills to build relationships with a wide range of internal
and external clients and stakeholders.POSITION SKILLS AND
