Reporting to the VP of Aurora Engineering, the Flight Physics
Division Manager will lead the engineering teams responsible for
conceptual design, aerodynamic analysis, loads and dynamics
analysis, and mass properties engineering. The position is a
combination of technical leadership and resource management. This
position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of technical
and staff capability, consistency, quality and efficiency related
to development, testing, modification, and creation of solutions to
technical complexities within the associated design space.
Additionally, the Flight Physics Division Manager is responsible
for the organizational performance of the team and maturing the
team's technical capabilities: skills, methods, processes, and

- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required;
advanced degrees are highly desired.
- Must have broad level of knowledge of the Flight Physics
domains, and depth in at least one of those areas.
- System configuration development through Preliminary
- Aerodynamic design and analysis of aircraft to meet performance
- Load case definition and development to support vehicle
- Mass Properties methodologies for preliminary sizing and
ongoing tracking of weights through product design.
- 12 plus years of demonstrated experience managing engineering
professionals and functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring engineering lead
and manager level staff.
- Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Occasionally required to work non-business hours to support
