This is a mixed role with 60% of time spent in front line staffing and 40% administrative duties. This clinical pharmacist will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with ASHP residency standards and residency program accreditation readiness. The qualified candidate will meet the following requirements; 1.) Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency, followed by a minimum of three years of pharmacy practice experience; or 2.) Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residencies with one or more years of pharmacy practice experience; or 3.) Without completing ASHP accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies, have five or more years of pharmacy practice experience. Acceptable experience must include 3 years of inpatient practice. 4.) Teaching certificate/precepting pharmacy residents and students experience highly preferred. 5.) Registered as a pharmacist with Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Leadership experience preferred.   • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Required;Doctorate of Pharmacy Preferred.
  • Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in healthcare system pharmacy Required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) Required or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other applicable certification Required or must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam.
