Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machines by reassembling them after maintenance, inspecting damaged parts, and advising supervisors on necessary repairs. Your role also includes lubricating, installing, and replacing machine parts as per production specifications, dismantling machines for repair, and recording maintenance information. Responsibilities Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair. Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines according to specific procedures. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using appropriate tools and equipment. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information accurately. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Set up and operate machines, adjusting controls to regulate operations. Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and materials between work areas and storage using cranes, hoists, or dollies. Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and work areas. Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. Essential Skills Proficiency in maintenance tasks. Knowledge of PLC and electromechanical systems. 3-5 years of experience in maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to use hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. 401k matching, benefits from day one. $3,000 sign on bonus paid in 3 increments Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Halethorpe,MD.
