Job Description Job Description NASA Federal Credit Union is
looking for a full time Field Maintenance Technician to order and
maintain maintenance supplies and equipment. The Field Maintenance
Technician will perform shipping & receiving functions, as well as
assist with field maintenance at all of our branch locations, and
facility projects. Travel between branches multiple times per week.
Must have valid drivers license. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: include the following with other duties as
assigned. Level I: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union
policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank
Secrecy Act. Works with and maintains grounds and grounds
irrigation systems. Installs display graphics, marketing posters,
pictures, A/V systems, etc. Receives and transports construction
materials and other items to branches. Handles meeting room
set-ups. Spreads paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for
protection. Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl,
paint, or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
Applies caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal
crevices. Orders and maintains maintenance supplies and equipment.
Conducts routine preventative maintenance according to established
guidelines and schedules. Requisitions tools, equipment, and
supplies. Hangs/replaces ceiling tile. This position backs-up all
Shipping/Receiving Specialist duties and may perform some or all
the responsibilities on a regular basis. Assists the Field
Maintenance Technician II/Sr. Field Maintenance Technician as
needed. Level II: (Performs all the duties of the Level I)
Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on branch banking
equipment, copiers, and lighting Performs basic installation of
cameras, security monitors, LCD, and digital Display units Runs
data lines, terminates cables, punches down data lines to terminal
blocks. Detects malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers,
power supplies, motors, and positions sensing devices Replaces
damaged or broken wires using test equipment and hand tools.
Performs basic plumbing repairs and maintenance. Load tests
batteries for bank equipment and alarm systems. Replace as
necessary. Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists fellow
employees in solving work problems Repairs or replaces drywall,
ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, ceramic tiles, VCT Repairs or
reconfigures modular furniture Installs hardware, locks, doors,
cabinets Responds to alarm calls associated with Facility-related
issues Performs emergency repairs during off-business hours (on
call). Repairs and installs electrical systems, apparatus and
electrical/electronic components such as; motion sensors, and
lighting controls Maintains computer records of Preventive
Maintenance repairs and tests Evaluates faulty equipment and
applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and
systems to diagnose cause of malfunction. May assist with oversight
of workers/contractors engaged in installing, servicing, and
repairing mechanical and electrical equipment Education and
Experience: Level I: High school diploma or general education
degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or
training. Must have a valid Driver’s License and vehicle Ability to
work on-call shifts, as scheduled Level II: (Meets all Level I
requirements) High school diploma or general education degree
(GED); and three to four years related experience and/or training.
Certificates and/or specialize course work in: Basic plumbing and
troubleshooting. Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift
and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up
to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth
perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties
of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use
hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and
talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb
or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. NASA Federal Credit
