Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A part-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available
specializing in school-based care for students from PK3 through 5th
grade. This travel-based position is located in Washington, DC and
requires approximately 20 hours per week from ASAP through June.
Ideal candidates will have a Certificate of Clinical Competence
(CCC) and experience in pediatric speech therapy within school
settings. Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative
Communication (AAC) systems, particularly TouchChat and LAMP Words
for Life, is essential to meet the diverse communication needs of
the caseload. This role is perfect for SLPs progressing through
their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or those with a background in
healthcare and educational environments. Responsibilities include:
Assessing, planning, and delivering speech-language therapy
services to children aged PK3-5th grade Developing individualized
treatment plans utilizing AAC technology to support effective
communication Collaborating with educators, families, and
interdisciplinary teams to promote student success Monitoring
progress and delivering consistent therapy interventions aligned
with school curricula and goals Qualifications: SLP credential with
CCC required Experience with pediatric populations in schools or
healthcare settings Familiarity with AAC tools such as TouchChat
and LAMP Words for Life Ability to work independently as a
traveling therapist Excellent communication and organizational
