Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. An immediate opening is available for a Special
Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-5 at a K-12 public
charter school located in Washington, DC. This full-time contract
position runs from now through the end of the current school year
and provides an opportunity to deliver impactful educational
support within a vibrant school community. Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored special education instruction through both push-in
and pull-out services. Manage a caseload of approximately 10
students, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with school staff and participate in planning to
promote student success. Maintain accurate documentation and
progress reports in compliance with district guidelines.
Qualifications: Valid DC Special Education teaching license is
required. Experience working with elementary-age students (K-5) in
special education settings. Strong knowledge of special education
laws, individualized education programs (IEPs), and best
instructional practices. Ability to engage and motivate students
with varying needs in inclusive classroom environments. Additional
Details: Work schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week. Interview
conducted via Zoom with the Special Education Director. No
paraeducator or related support staff will be provided.
Fingerprinting and background checks are necessary prior to
employment. The position requires immediate availability to begin.
This contract role offers a meaningful way to utilize special
