Job Description:
Talascend is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a
contract opportunity in Manassas,VASUMMARY:4/10 Shift - Monday
through Thursday 7AM - 5:30PM with some flexibility.This position
will require the contractor to be on site 30% - 50% of the
time.RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of secretarial and
administrative duties for assigned supervisor/manager or senior
staff member.Performs normal office functions such as setting up
and maintaining alphabetical, numerical and/or subject files;
interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging
meetings and conferences; and receiving, referring, or answering
mail.May take and transcribe dictation; uses personal computers and
standard desktop software to compose reports, correspondence, and
memorandums; reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate
grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations
and established policies and procedures.May provide guidance and
direction, as needed, to lower-level secretaries and other clerical
employees.REQUIREMENTS:Administrative Assistant with 5+ years'
experience2 - 4 years experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel &
PowerPointPossess excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and
written communication skills; with the ability to work well with
all levels of internal and external management and staff members.
Strong Organizational Skills. Promotes and demonstrates a high
level of professionalism.Perform normal office functions such as
setting up and maintaining files; maintain and de-conflict
calendars; provide phone coverage; interview callers and make
proper referrals; arrange meetings, conferences, and associated
catering, receiving referring and answering mail, coordination and
ordering of office supplies, coordination and requests for office
equipment, department office space and providing network access,
phones.Uses standard desktop software. Experienced in Microsoft
Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) with advanced
level of competency. Possess working knowledge of SharePoint, Box,
Skype/Zoom, Slack or other team collaboration tools: and Internet
research skills.Supporting customer relations and interfacing
including customer visits and meetings, setup of meetings, and
coordination of visit requests Performs travel bookings for staff
and support leadership in travel expense reporting, arranging
travel plans for assigned group, preparing expense reports,Provide
support for business operations including coordinate, compile and
prepare internal business reviews, documentation and reports;
compile and edit weekly and monthly status reports.Self-starter
with strong initiative.Order/Maintain Office supply
Inventory.Successful candidate must be detail oriented, able to
multi-task and drive closure in a dynamic and fast-moving team
environment. Determines priorities of non-routine situations and
will participate and lead miscellaneous projects or initiatives as
needed, including providing support to the department staff. The
candidate must be professional, reliable, and
flexible.PREFERRED:Experience as an Administrative Assistant within
multi-manager
