We provide research, development, design, integration, production and test of instruments, Automated Test Systems, system software products, Test Program Sets, and Test Kits - while playing a major role in research, development, and implementation of maintenance infrastructures crucial to national defense.We are currently looking for a talented Accounting Manager with federal prime contracts and task order experience. This role reports to the President and will be responsible to supervise, operate, and improve all accounting activities in our corporate office. Duties and Responsibilities:- Reviewing monthly billing based on direct cost, material reporting, credit card and bank statements, travel vouchers, and sales tax for posting and payment processing.- Managing the financial path of contracts, subcontracts, delivery orders and task order from proposal through data input, time allocation, billing, tracking and closeout.- Oversee indirect rate structures, budget, forecasts, incurred cost submission, and general ledger; prepares monthly financial statements and variance analysis; sets up cost-pools.- Prepare and present financial statements and associated reports to the CPAs for quarterly, semi-annual, and year-end adjustment entries.- Manage the A/R, A/P, P/R, and general ledger, and monitor cash flows.- Coordinate outside audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA/DCMA), oversee the preparation of required items, and provide analysis and responses.- Work with the team to support proposal activity and help to create pricing responses to RFP's and RFQ's. - Provide labor cost reports to the Program Managers to assist them in labor planning by task order/contract.- Oversee financial tracking of PIDESO direct, indirect, and unallowable expenses to ensure that purchases are processed correctly.- Establish job and service item codes in QuickBooks and coordinate implementation of timekeeping tracking to ensure compliance as required by DCAA.- Manage and process semi-monthly payroll by reviewing labor distribution, payroll register information, and coordinating benefit accruals with Human Resources to ensure accuracy and completeness.Required Skills/Abilities:- Federal prime contracts and task orders accounting experience to include job costing, and government cost accounting standards knowledge.- Minimum 7 years' experience as a controller or accounting manager with a government contractor.- Experience working with DCAA and DCMA including audit support.- Proficient using QuickBooks Desk Top Version.- Advanced skills in MS Excel required (tables, charts, graphs, and formulas).- Experience with hands-on preparation and review of incurred cost submissions and forward pricing rates. - Proven knowledge of full cycle accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations is required.- Experience with G/L reconciliations; month-end, and year-end close; and financial statement preparation. - Multi-state tax and regulation experience.- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.- Self-motivated and results-orientated individual with a strong work ethic.- Excellent analytical skills.- Payroll experience a must.- Prior supervisory experience.- Experience working with a small business.- Bachelor's Degree in accounting required.Along with a competitive wage, we offer great benefits including employer subsidized medical, dental and vision plans, fully paid Life and STD insurance, PTO leave, 401(k) Plan, Educational Assistance and year-end bonus.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
